Select the location where you want to save the file and click "Save." The chat history will be saved as a .txt file that you can open and view in any text editor.

The clip was recorded by a mobile device directly from the recording function in Teams chat: Send a video clip in Teams - Microsoft Support. I can view the video clip the Teams chat, but I want to download the file. The file is not in the "file" tab in the chat.
Aug 30, 2024 · Only the meeting organizer can download the meeting recording. To download a meeting recording: Select the Files or Shared tab in the meeting chat, channel, or meeting in calendar.
