Feb 21, 2018 · The nVidia installer will want to expand the installation files into a C:\nVidia folder. Not in Program Files (x86). But you can direct the installer to expand the files anywhere (Custom Install option). I have my nVidia folder on my partition D: which is on a spinning hard disk.

Dec 22, 2018 · After reinstalling the OS due to a crash caused by un update I noticed that the pc doesn't seen the Nvidia display adapter, but only the integrated one (Intel HD graphics 620). With the last update an unknown device appears, but I needed to disabled the integrated display adapters to be able to install the drivers on the Nvidia one.

Apr 28, 2016 · - Use the 'custom' option when installing the Nvidia drivers and don't install components you don't use. eg - If you don't use HDMI for audio don't install Nvidia HD audio driver. - There was a similar issue with people having to reinstall Nvidia drivers on reboot a couple of years ago.
