No, Oxford Brookes is a former polytechnic and has nothing to do with Oxbridge (the collective term for both Oxford University and Cambridge University). However, it is an excellent university for many courses, and is by far the best of the former polytechnics, and, I imagine, will continue to improve and increase its ranking. Reply 7.

Price- The cost of living in Oxford is massive. It is the most expensive place for students outside London. Most people I know people up north who pay about £80 per week rent for their house. Ours is £105 and we got in early to find a house. The general cost of buses, food etc. does seem high.
17. I prefer Oxford to Nottingham, but that's just a personal preference. Oxford is pretty and sleepy, with with a good nightlife vibe if you are open-minded and like to explore. Brookes Business is at the Wheatley Campus, which is hideous and just beyond the outskirts of the city.
Oxford Brookes is a very good university. Alot of the subjects they teach are not taught at Oxford or Cambridge and brookes are highly rated.
