  1. Aug 27, 2022 · It is a wonderful feature and for me living in a country with ridiculously high import taxes, this feature alone has saved me over $500 worth in import taxes. I generally lower the price by 50%, but don't be afraid to go down more! This is a feature I 100% recommend. Overall: Solaris Japan is now my go-to for buying figures.

  2. Mar 6, 2023 · Solaris is located in Japan, but Dekai Anime and Crunchyroll are not. Those two stores slap their import costs on the figures price, thats why they are more expensive. Solaris do very good early bird discounts, you can have your shipping calculated on the product page and confirmed in the order process. Don't forget.

  3. Dec 29, 2022 · Thanks for the input! There are a lot of figures on Solaris Japan that are way cheaper than GSC even with the express shipping fee. Maybe you might answer this other question, I’ve noticed a couple used figures they had in stock but was curious what is the min. star rating that would be considered safe. Figure/ box condition respectively

  4. Jan 21, 2021 · Personally, Solaris is the only shop that I feel any kind of loyalty towards. (Except for Neokyo, but they're a proxy, not a shop.) Although some people complain that their prices are too high, before the pandemic they were usually the most affordable option on pre-orders (no mystery shipping fee like on AmiAmi), and their pre-owned section can be great as long as you do some price checking ...

  5. Apr 15, 2021 · E.g. I live in Germany with a fun ~20% tax, so whether the item is billed as 200€ or 80€ makes quite a difference. But of course it's not legal to do that in most countries, so you might run into trouble if it's clearly fake (idk how risky it is with anime figurines, but imagine importing luxury handbags and claiming they are only 15$ per ...

  6. May 19, 2023 · Solaris Japan isn't too much more expensive than AmiAmi. I personally prefer pre-ordering through them since you can actually pay upfront and not worry about delays stacking up your monthly expenses. So far, I've only had great experiences with Solaris Japan. I personally use AmiAmi for pre-owned though. Lol

  7. Nov 13, 2022 · I've ordered plenty of pre-owned items from Solaris Japan. The lowest I've ordered are 3.5 stars on their grading system. The figure on that one was in perfect shape, but missing a postcard that was supposed to come with it. The only difference from AmiAmi is that they don't tell you upfront what the issue may be with the figure if it is low grade.

  8. Jul 13, 2017 · Thank you for the reply. The item I order from AmiAmi was a 1/6 figure the same size I order from Solaris. The item I order from AmiAmi did arrive faster than Solaris. The order from was place on jun the 16. AmiAmi I placed the order on the 17 n I received the item faster than Solaris. I find it weird but thanks for the reply.

  9. Oct 28, 2019 · A few weeks ago I got charged about £40ish for a figure I originally spend £180ish on. Solaris is a legit shop, but I think AmiAmi and Hobby Link Japan are better. Solaris pricing can be high, and their pre-owned prices can be wonky sometimes. I also think they're very slow to ship, but maybe I was just unlucky.

  10. Feb 28, 2021 · They’re definitely legit. They’re my go to shop, and very reputable in the community. 3. Wubduw. • 3 yr. ago. Solaris is great for brand new, definitely legit. Be somewhat cautious of their pre-owned figures though, results have been mixed as some users here can attest to. 2.
