SJI is an all-boys secondary school from Year 1 to 4. Admission to SJI is by merit only, based on the student’s Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) scores. Returning Singaporeans who would like to be admitted into Secondary 1 are advised to sit for the SPERS-Sec papers.

St. Joseph’s Institution (SJI) (圣若瑟书院 shèng ruò sè shū yuàn) is a Catholic secondary school for boys founded in 1852 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools or De La Salle Brothers. It is the 3rd oldest secondary school in Singapore.

The Year of St Joseph marks the 150th anniversary of the declaration of St Joseph as the Patron of the Catholic Church.
