Sep 18, 2017 · I'm using an iPhone and Baidu Maps seems to be the more accurate choice, as well as the App Store description says that this app is also available in English. But even with English available, the app is always boot in Chinese. My iPhone was set in French when I downloaded Baidu Maps for the first time.
You can search for amenities and use GPS navigation. It has maps covering most of the world. That said, I wouldn't be adverse to using an English-language China map, especially if it were more accurate or showed a greater range of interesting amenities.
I downloaded the newest version of Baidu Maps as I saw somewhere that they had finally rolled in some manner of English language support. I also saw online some tutorial of how to navigate the (Mandarin) menus in the new version to get to language settings, and which characters to select to get English.
