The Boys’ Brigade in Singapore has its very own flower. “Dendrobium Boys’ Brigade” was named on 18 September 1999 in celebration of our 70th Anniversary in Singapore. The flower symbolises the aspiration of BB youth, and reflects a new generation with the best hybrid of courage from our heritage and boldness to face the future.
The Boys' Brigade is the world's first uniformed organisation for youth. The impact of The Boys’ Brigade led to the establishment of other uniformed organisations: Church Lads’ Brigade (1890), Boys’ Life Brigade (1899), The Jewish Lads’ Brigade (1900), Girls’ Life Brigade (1902), Boy Scouts (1908) and Girl Guides (1910).
The BB Share-a-Gift Project was started in 1988 as a community service project that promotes the spirit of caring and sharing amongst the local community during the Christmas season.

Realising the growing need to cater to the number of younger children in Singapore, The Boys’ Brigade in Singapore partnered with The Girls’ Brigade Singapore to develop a brand new programme for both Boys and Girls aged 5 through 6 (K1 and K2).

Donate Now. The Boys' Brigade in Singapore is an Institution of Public Character and your donations are 2.5 times tax deductible. The funds that we receive are channelled back to the Boys, enabling them to engage in purposeful activities and educational courses.
The Primers Programme is based on the theme of Service and Leadership. It primarily caters to Boys who have participated in the Juniors and/or Seniors Programme and youths who did not have the opportunity to join The Boys' Brigade previously.
