Oct 7, 2021 · "used to test high end gaming monitors on PC" Exactly, PC and Xbox are 2 different things. PC is the one that you need to close everything to get one more miserable fps. Xbox you have either a TV or a monitor with high frame rate and call it a day. There is no tweaking around. But okay.
Jan 8, 2023 · Using the UFO test as example, what happens is it'll play just fine like normal and sudden hitch for a second then go on normally. This happens frequently, a few times a minute. I use Firefox, but I have tried Edge and Chrome and while it happens less in Chrome the issue is still present.
May 26, 2018 · Go to about:config. Enter "layout.frame_rate". Change this to whatever your refresh rate is (eg; 120 for 120hz) Restart firefox. You can now compare ghosting/visual quality to Windows at the correct framerate. There may be a bit of stutter every now and again, because it is not vsync'd but at least this gives you an accurate enough test case.

Sep 15, 2021 · Too much overdrive causes inverse ghosting or pixel overshoot. This is neither of those. This is just bad photo where no conclusions can be drawn. (Edit, for example I could have the best monitor in the world. But I could jack up my camera settings to have like 1/5 timing. Should lead to monitor wide trail)
Feb 26, 2015 · The UFO test is pretty reliable though, if it detects 75Hz and you verified it with the frameskip test, your monitor OC should be valid and working. As others have said in the other post. Valid means nothing it could be frame skipping still.
None affected the UFO test. BUT: I did the very same exact tests with League of Legends + Blitz, Discord and Streamlabs and all three of them took my FPS down to 60 whenever an animation played. It was hilarious with Blitz because it only took FPS down when the ads were playing animations.
