Das wird eigentlich nur verwendet, wenn jemand einer "ungewissen Zukunft" entegegen geht. Da würde dann zwar auch "Mach's gut" funktionieren, aber umgekehrt eher nicht.

"Being" is a gerund, and "being my team leader" is a gerund phrase (a gerund is a verb form acting as a noun). Since "being my team leader" is acting as a noun, it needs a possessive pronoun, not an object pronoun.
