ZeroGPT is NOT RELIABLE AT ALL. As an MBA student writing academic papers for school, it is incredibly frustrating how my essays WITH proper in-text citations, references, and sometimes personal anecdotes are still detected as AI by ZeroGPT. Recently, my instructor gave me a 0 on an assignment because one paragraph showed up as 100% AI.
Feb 18, 2023 · Then I gave chatgpt some feedback where I said please rewrite it to avoid ai-detection or make the text more humanlike written and those percentages dropped to zero. According to Zero GPT, The Constitution of the United States is 90% AI-generated. I trust its accuracy. It flagged my own essay as 17% AI-generated.
Mar 30, 2023 · The tool is bad now, and the rate at which the AI will get better at being indistinguishable from human is (and will forever remain) faster than the rate at which tools such as GPTZero advance to keep up, and in theory it will eventually be impossible to tell anyways.

The elements that GPT Zero and other detection tools look for — simple vocabulary, simple and repetitive sentence structure, low randomness — are all pretty common hallmarks of developmental student writing.
So, I checked to see which sections of text Turnitin flagged, and it's just so stupid that I'm concerned about my future in University to look similar. After complaining, my teacher then told me that he's "being generous" and said that what he was doing with giving me half marks for hand-written assignments wasn't unfair.

Assuming they caught 1/3 applicants, discarded their application, and sent a notice letter to the student, you don’t think it would deter applicants from using ChatGPT? That risk seems very high for a reward that is so far unproven in college admissions.
