sonic2000gr and mx49 made good points. Lately, Yamaha seems fixated on "recorders" of varying complexity instead of honest to goodness sequencers (that grace "Workstations"). Mid- and upper-level Yamaha arrangers support event-list editing at the MIDI event level. It's good enough for the basics, but there are limitations and quirks.
