Dec 3, 2021 · 12,930. Dec 3, 2021. #37. Just about everything was left on Saturn, so I don’t see why Burning Rangers is in question. But I’d wager a big reason is that Sega doesn’t see it worth pursuing. It might’ve had a slightly better chance on Dreamcast, where it might’ve been ported.

Jul 29, 2024 · Panzer Dragoon Zwei and Sega Rally came to mind first. Those were the games I got for my Saturn first. Astal (Japanese version, which has a surprisingly strong voice cast with a number of well-known seiyuu at the time) is great too. Saturn version of Thunder Force V also has more going on than the PlayStation port.

Sep 6, 2024 · Right this moment, I just want to play my Saturn (with S-Video -> Component) on my 55" LG OLED. I will probably do a playthrough of PDS and Burning Rangers and then put it back in storage. Occasionally I'll grab the Dreamcast or Gamecube. Maybe a PSX. But anything SNES/Genesis or older I'll lug out the old 13" CRT.
Aug 10, 2024 · Burning Rangers is a polygonal nightmare with some of the jankiest camera and controls I've ever seen from a 1st party publisher. Basically all 3D Saturn games look good....for the time of their release, which is mostly before the N64. And I dig the look more than the PS1.
