But it is also OK to say: "I saw it at the movies". don't say " in the movies/ in the theat re " (English spelling) "theatre" = different to a cinema, when actors perform live in front of you. As was explained above, "Let's go to the movie" means "Let's go to a specific movie," and it would be used when everybody knows what movie is being discussed. "Let's go to the movies" means "Let's go to the cinema" or "Let's go see a movie, but we aren't sure which one yet."

So you can say: I watch a few movies every month - three or four at least. I watch a lot of movies - I'm always going to the cinema.

  8. Oct 4, 2021 · There probably isn't any difference in meaning. If you are into books, you probably enjoy reading them. If you are into movies, you probably enjoy watching them. Perhaps you merely like to collect them or trade them, but that seems somewhat unlikely to me.
