Bardish Chagger was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Riding of Waterloo on October 19, 2015. On November 4, 2015, she was appointed Minister of Small Business and Tourism by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, making history as the first Indo-Canadian woman to serve in Cabinet.
