Oct 22, 2020 · Blade Runner has a special place in my heart, and is constantly flitting around in my top 5-10 films of all time. When a sequel was announced I had this horrible sinking feeling that they were going to fuck it up on the scale of, say, most Terminator sequels. Blade Runner 2049, to me, is a better film in every way.
Apr 24, 2018 · Blade Runner 2049 could have been screwed up FAR easier than Fury Road. Not to take anything away from Mad Max but Blade Runner had the entire world and the history of the genre working against it. Lol not even the actors understood what Miller was going for. Long, troubled production.

Mar 31, 2019 · Blade Runner already had a ton of empty space because everyone who could afford to leave Earth for the Outer Colonies did. In 2049, with rising ocean tides, and entire cities cleared out either by radiation (Vegas) or converted into giant landfills (San Diego), Earth is 30 years closer to death.
Feb 2, 2018 · I currently live in Taiwan, but I have a North American (Canadian) iTunes account and I want to redeem the code and add the movie to my iTunes library. This is so fucking stupid. Why would something like this be region locked? It's like I can't even access the steps necessary to redeem it because I'm living abroad. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Dec 28, 2020 · Yes, the sound design is one of the reasons I love Blade Runner 2049 so so much. I know it’s technically a song, but that one specific sound at the lighthouse scene in Annihilation is pure bliss too. ~10 seconds in, but please watch the movie before:
Aug 8, 2024 · It's an excellent movie, a great sequel, and perfectly suited for a cinema experience. The first one was too. They took too massive of a risk with the budget if the goal was to maximize profit (or make any). Having said that, for posterity it's amazing and if you're not a myopic Hollywood exec, these risks are worth it just for that.

I would have loved to include Prince of Egypt, Blade Runner 2049, Man of Steel, Dune, Muppet Treasure Island, Interstellar, Black Rain, The Dark Knight and many more. Nov 11, 2017 · i disagree - the end of the original is necessarily vague, there's no implication that replicants are fundamentally human rather it leaves the question open for the viewer. nor do i think the movie even tries to answer this question as it's ultimately unanswerable, it's a fun thought experiment...
