Jul 23, 2020 · Ok, I freely admit I love Body Double and always have. It's trashiness and the pop culture time capsule nature of it is endlessly fun, along with all the nods to Hitchcock. But I've been turning over the plot in my head and realized I don't actually get it.
It makes Body Double look celibate. Blow Out is pretty sleazy too, but it’s much more earned. The sleaze in Blow Out feels normal in the world of the film, whereas Body Double and Dressed to Kill just use sleaze for the sake of sleaze (although I’d argue the sleaze is fitting for the second half of Body Double).

Jan 9, 2022 · there are a lot of differences, the body double: smokes, when you make a noise he wont check with the guard, use the heart if the actions are kind then he's the body double, idk if this is true but the voice is more "normal" if u know what i mean? and thats it, enough evidence for a solution in ur problem

"Body Double" may easily be the best giallo to come out of America. It has a very self-aware sense of its time, place, and style; the violence and cinematography are, even when strained to the brink of surrealism, artistic and carefully composed; the plot is genuinely shocking and twisted.

Body doubling only works for me with people that aren't affected if I don't complete the task. Example, a family member can body double mending my favorite pair of jeans or canning tomatoes or filing my taxes. A family member cannot body double for doing the dishes or cleaning the bathroom or taking out the trash.
Jun 11, 2022 · In the meantime, I checked out 1984's Body Double and it's probably my favorite of this run. Scarface may have more name recognition and Blow Out may have more love among cinephiles, but Body Double had more thoroughly entertained and intrigued throughout its entire runtime. Right from the start, I knew I was in for something special.
