Jan 1, 2021 · A lot of people probably thought DeSantis did a generally good job as the Governor of Florida (and are the types to vote for the incumbent), weren't impressed by Charlie Crist, and/or supported DeSantis's stance on Covid restrictions (not an issue in this election).
Jan 1, 2021 · 2006-2015 was very unusually inactive for the USA specifically. Florida had zero hurricane landfalls, but since 2016 (cat 1 Hermine) everything changed, and we got the opposite, very active years for contiguous USA/Florida. The worst storm Charlie Crist had to face when he was governor was tropical storm Fay (!).
