In general, an employee is any individual working under a contract of employment, a worker is any individual working for an employer (whether under a contract of employment or any other, i.e. it`s a broader term) and a clerk is a job role (you are employed as a clerk).
Jun 9, 2009 · The Clerk of the Court would normally be the Secretario or the office called simply "Secretaría." However, I cannot tell from the three words "Transfer to the Clerk" whether this is the Clerk of the Court or a solicitor's clerk or the Clerk of the County or a municipality or some other official or private employee.

A clerk could be male or female and does general office work (filing, making coffee, etc.) and may even, as in a bank (in Britain) deal with the public. Sometime the “office junior” is called a clerk, just to make her feel good. Both of these terms have other usages.

There are also "sales clerks", who help customers in stores. An attendant typically stands up most of the time, or does light manual work. In fact, they may be found doing many different kinds of work.

I don't know that there is a specific word in Spanish, other than abogado [del gobierno]. A solicitor's clerk would be his assistant: Ayudante de abogado. M.
