LaGuardia High School is the premiere high school for Arts and Academic education in the United States. Our students are recognized in national, regional, and local Art competitions and gain admission to top universities and conservatories worldwide.
The Fall Open House is for families who are beginning the high school application process and wish to see the school before deciding to audition. The Spring Open House is for families who have been accepted to LaGuardia and want to see the school prior to making a final selection among schools.
LaGuardia High School has six studios, and applicants will receive an offer for each studio for which they have a qualifying audition score. This means that students may receive an offer to multiple studios.

Students must be academically eligible to audition for LaGuardia Arts. Students must have a documented final grade from last school year of at least 65 or the equivalent in each core subject (ELA, math, science, and social studies).
In 1936, New York City Mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia established the High School of Music & Art (M&A). Mayor LaGuardia's vision was to provide a place where NYC's most gifted public school students could pursue their talents in art or music while completing a full academic program.
We are a technical theater program based in skills and technique. Students study carpentry, electrics, costuming, stage management, and design. Students must complete industry production work as part of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.
