Recently had a new Captain enter my world and he thinks we should call the station House 2. Please share thoughts and comments.
Apr 22, 2007 · firehouse is the only magazine i am subscribed to right now. i am pleased with it. it has given me a lot of information that i have shared with other firefighters in my department and i have used several articles and pictures in training. our station get fire/rescue. i am thinking about subscribing to some other mags (lets not forget "emergency medical services" magazine). just trying to ...

Contact the Chesterfield County, VA Fire Department. They have a standard set of plans for 2 and 3 bay stations.
Posts:3. #6. 04-14-2008, 02:42 PM. NFPA 1581, (2000 edition, Section 3-3.1), requires a minimum of 60 square feet of floor space per bed in sleeping areas. The appendix to NFPA 1581 also states that separate bedding lockers and clothes lockers should be provided for each member requiring a bed.
12-07-2001, 11:47 PM. This subject was posted in the firefighters forum. The red and green lights found on Chicago area rigs and firehouses stem from an old-time chief who had ties to the maritime industry.He ordered all the rigs be equipped with this color combination. Port and starboard.
