Distribution is done by Machine-Wide installer across the company computers, either Windows 10 AD joined computers with hybrid AAD join, or Windows 11 AAD join computers. In both cases the behavior is the same.

May 12, 2020 · I am using the GPO "Automatically import another browser's data and settings at first run" to import settings from IE. The favourites import correctly, however the Homepage does not. If I manually go to favourites and click import, and select Home page it imports it successfully. We are using version 81.0.416.72 (Official build) (64 bit)
Jan 7, 2020 · To disable the First Run page for Microsoft Edge, do the following: Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command. Type gpedit.msc and click OK to open the Local Group Policy Editor. On the right side, double-click the Prevent the First Run webpage from opening on Microsoft Edge policy.
Jan 21, 2019 · First, identify your task sequence by ID. My test sequence is CEN00027. Note that in my lab this sequence has already run in the past. The advertisement for the sequence is set with a mandatory execution time – which resulted in the first run. No other mandatory times have been added. Further, the advertisement is set to allow rerunning.
Jun 3, 2020 · @Thoruu I struggled with this early on as well. I have found that there is about a 1-minute delay between when the browser launches and when IE mode becomes active.
Jul 1, 2021 · Automatically import another browser's data and settings at first run is set to import all supported datatypes and settings from Internet explorer. We are using the Build 91.0.864.59. I have found that there was a bug in an older version, but that should be fixed.
May 12, 2022 · I'm sure you already know this method but the steps are below: Go to settings>Import Browser data. In the import from drop down, select “Internet Explorer”. Make sure the checkbox for Favorites and other required data types is checked. Click on “Import”. Thanks!
