Glen Keane (born April 13, 1954) is an American animator, director, author and illustrator. As a character animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios for 38 years (1974–2012), he worked on feature films including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Tarzan and Tangled.
Glen Keane is one of Disney's longest-serving lead character animators. He is the son of Bil Keane, the creator and artist of the popular newspaper comic strip Family Circus. The character of "Billy" in the comic is based on both Glen and his older brother, Chris.
