Interac itself, for my 4 years with them, were very hands off and I only got observed once. Staff were nice and easy to deal with.

If you have a brain and didn't make a fool of yourself in your demo lesson, you'll probably be offered a position. Although, sometimes their decisions make no sense. One of the people in my original interview would have been perfect.

Nov 28, 2023 · Altia is better without any doubt unless you really want to work outside of the prefectures they cover (mostly central Honshu). Altia paid the full amount every month, had a yearly bonus, lent me a car with zero fees, and cover the monthly parking (it was 12000 a month at the time for parking at my place at the time).
Oct 16, 2017 · Interac isn't a great company by any stretch of the imagination, but they aren't as bad as people make out. You'll get paid on time, they have experience dealing with new teachers and schools and there is a bunch of other teachers for you to connect with.
Jun 22, 2023 · Interac wrote him up for promoting the union in a meeting. There is still a combative relationship between the company and 'veterans'. It doesn't really affect new teachers overall, since Interac North tries to keep ALTs from interacting these days and their eyes and ears can be protected from opinions that aren't 100% positive.
Jun 10, 2015 · I've been with Interac since March of this year, so im experience is limited, but fresh! As a few others have said your experience is heavily weighted on your branch manager, and BoE. From my experience I would say your school experience is weighted heavily on BoE, and your life outside of school is your Branch.
