At least, the plot and acting are pretty mediocre at best and downright terrible in places. The effects are surprisingly good for a movie this cheap. In fact, I was favourably impressed by them. There are one or two obviously bad animatronic moments, but on the whole the dragons look good to the eye.

THE CURSE OF THE KOMODO is another regular cheesy giant monster B-movie in which scientific experiments have created an island full of hulking Komodo dragons that run around eating people. It's not great, but it's probably one of the best films in Jim Wynorski's career nonetheless because it's not quite as bad as the rest of his stuff.

The scenes of the komodo dragons attacking people, and the appearance and/or behavior of the dragons may frighten some people, particularly small children. Edit Dispite being direct-to-DVD and low budget, this films has pretty good CGI and younger kids may be convinced that they are real.
