Michael Monarch played lead guitar for Steppenwolf from 1967 to 1969, along with John Kay, Nick St. Nicholas, Jerry Edmonton and Goldy McJohn. He left the band in 1969 and was replaced by Larry Byrom, and later by Kent Henry.
