Michael Anthony Munchak (born March 5, 1960) is an American former professional football player and coach. After playing college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions , Munchak played as a guard for the Houston Oilers of the National Football League (NFL), from 1982 until 1993 and was a nine-time selection to the Pro Bowl .

Mike Munchak was the eighth player overall and the first offensive lineman chosen in the 1982 National Football League Draft. Selected by the Houston Oilers, the former Penn State standout was an immediate success with the Oilers, earning the starting left guard spot in his first training camp.
