It took over NatWest in around 2000 and NatWest is a brand/subsidiary of RBS Group. RBS and HBOS are totally separate banks, each issuing their own banknotes through their respective Scottish banks (RBS and BoS).

Sep 6, 2024 · Royal bank of Scotland disabled my Apple Pay. So I purchased a new phone and tried to add my bank card. It failed said contact issuer so I checked with Apple all fine and bank said my card was fine. So I got an email today so I can’t use Apple Pay for atleast 30 days and they have the right to refuse me to use it but my card still works in shops.
