  2. Nov 6, 2016 · Jun 11, 2024. #1,143. Can’t get much joy out of Sam’s demise….we had a few prospects who didn’t really train on to be decent strikers, I can think of Town,Tubbs,Stockley, to name a few….we did have Hayter and Pitman who excelled. It is a total new ball game now as unless you can beat the vast scouting networks of the big clubs then ...

  3. Nov 6, 2016 · As for Surridge, I'm no huge fan, but also haven't seen anything to suggest he's behaved poorly in all this (so far). I think £5.5m (or whatever it is) is too good an offer for the club to turn down, and it appears it suits the player too. If the move doesn't go through, and Surridge sulks / plays up then, yes, he could and should be criticised.

Nov 6, 2016 · Eddie thinks so certainly. He trains with the first team and Grabban was allowed to leave because of Surridge's development. Still expect us to target a striker signing in the summer but Surridge appears to be the most likely of the youngsters to come through the ranks.

  7. Nov 6, 2016 · MLS is better than people give it credit for, but still probably overall talent wise right now, mid championship to league one level. Surridge should do well with Nashville. Good place to live, being a designated player means he will make way more than other players, and right now they are 4th in their conference so not going to a bad team either.

  8. Nov 6, 2016 · But I don’t begrudge him his early retirement if he can afford it soon. Good on the lad if he can. For me Surridge is an example of how excessive amounts of money get blown in the Premier League on players who really don’t have the skills to merit what they get paid. I’m sure Brian will be along in a minute to agree with me

  9. Dec 23, 2023 · Checking in on Brian's favourite player. Apparently paid 12,000 quid a week, and has scored 2 goals in 11 games!!! Hardly prolific, but Kansas is flat, just like the earth. Brian, do you think we should have kept him?

  10. Jun 7, 2022 · Is he scared to drive his car over 30 in case all the oxygen moves to the back of the car and he asphyxiates himself?

  11. Nov 6, 2016 · With your track record, Brian, wouldn't be surprised if it was in a post that got deleted. ;) Yes, it was probably the Elite that decided this wasn't the...
