Skyline: Directed by Colin Strause, Greg Strause. With Eric Balfour, Scottie Thompson, Brittany Daniel, Crystal Reed. Strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.
Takes place in the same time line as "Skyline" (2010), in fact some scenes from the first film are in this film, but from different perspectives.

As the film opens we see falling blue lights, like flares, raining down on Los Angeles at night time, evenly spaced over the terrain. Then we see young couple Jarrod (Eric Balfour) and Elaine (Scottie Thompson) being woken by blue lights outside the window shining through the slates in the blinds.
Absolutely awesome low budget alien sci-fi franchise. This one is as good as the first film. Loved the post credit scenes, that's great "stay-at-home" entertainment.
I don't think Skyline is a bad movie as such. While there were better movies from 2010 such as The King's Speech, The Social Network, The Fighter and Toy Story 3, there are also worse such as Fred:The Movie, The Last Airbender, Vampires Suck and Clash of the Titans.
Skyline: Warpath: Directed by Liam O'Donnell. With Scott Adkins, Yayan Ruhian, Iko Uwais, Charlotte Vega. Follows Sua as he leads The Resistance against the aliens. When he discovers the powerful alien Radial Gauntlet, he must deal with both the corrupt Eric and the army of alien invaders.
The first Skyline was a cool indie movie, I really liked it. The second was meh...this one, watch it while cooking something is you want... 25 out of 46 found this helpful.
"Beyond Skyline" is a sci-fi film too dark and with a total lack of humor. There is no character development and we do not know anything about the lead characters. The screenplay is full of clichés and a complete mess, with action, detective story, crime, sci-fi, horror and martial arts.
