  1. Jan 24, 2024 · The largest coastal town in Croatia, Split isn’t just about history – it’s actually a fun seaside town with many beaches and great swimming spots along its shores. If you are visiting Split in summer, sooner or later, you’ll take a dip in the Adriatic, at many beaches in Split, Croatia.

    • Bacvice Beach Split, Croatia. {MAP} Incredibly convenient to the Old Town, Bacvice Beach Croatia is Split’s most popular beach for travelers. With lively beach bars, shallow water and a sandy shore, Bacvice Split Beach gets absolutely packed in the summertime with thousands of daily visitors descending on the bay.
    • Ovcice Beach Split. {MAP} Just to the east of Bacvice is Ovcice Beach; a small, pebbly beach that is popular with families. Ovcice Split Beach is serviced by one café (aptly named Ovcice Café).
    • Firule Beach Split. {MAP} The Firule Bay is nearly as wide as Bacvice, but with a much smaller beach. In fact, water comes right up to the walkway on the entire western half of the bay, leaving only a small beach on the eastern side.
    • Trstenik Beach Split (and Radisson Beach) {MAP} Trstenik Beach lies to the east of the Zenta Marina. The calm bay has crystal clear water, a clean pebbly beach and plenty of room to spread out your beach blankets.

    • Bacvice Beach. Bacvice Beach Split is a Blue Flag beach which is also one of the most popular and first of a series of beaches of varying degrees of size lying on the city’s eastern coast.
    • Ovcice Beach. Ovcice Beach is a great alternative to the bigger and busier Bacvice. It’s ideal for families with small children or those just seeking peaceful moments in the sun though amenities on the beach are limited.
    • Firule Beach. Firule Beach, located just around the corner from Ovcice, is another sand-like Split beach which is popular with locals who refer to it as mini Bacvice.
    • Trstenik Beach. Trstenik Beach, located in Split’s neighbourhood which it is named after, is by far one of the most beautiful Split beaches along the city’s eastern coast.
    • Kašjuni Beach. This is my all-time favorite: the best beach Split has. It’s just so stunning. Kašjuni is a little farther outside of Split than the other beaches I’ll recommend, but it’s worth the journey.
    • Ježinac Beach. Ježinac is the beach I go to the most, by far. It’s a beautiful 30 minute stroll from town alongside the sea and through a marina, and it’s a very popular beach with the locals.
    • Žjnan Beach. Zjnan is also a little farther out, but you can easily walk here from old town in about 45 minutes along a beautiful seaside pedestrian path.
    • Trstenik Beach. This beach is the one right before Zjnan, and it’s also lovely and well-maintained (pebbly again of course). It’s also deep and calm, and popular with locals.
