St. Joseph’s Institution (SJI) (圣若瑟书院 shèng ruò sè shū yuàn) is a Catholic secondary school for boys founded in 1852 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools or De La Salle Brothers. It is the 3rd oldest secondary school in Singapore.
Our People. SJI is currently headed by Principal, Mr Justin Arul Pierre. Taking care of the learning needs of more than 2,000 students in SJI are 175 teaching staff comprising Heads of Department, Heads of Level and teachers and allied educators. The students and teachers are assisted by 41 administrative and support staff.

Admission to SJI. SJI is an all-boys-only secondary school that offers the Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) Programme and Integrated Programme. The Year of St Joseph marks the 150th anniversary of the declaration of St Joseph as the Patron of the Catholic Church. In honour of the anniversary, Pope Francis declared 2021, a special year of St Joseph.
Admission to the SJI International Baccalaureate is conducted through the Ministry of Education (MOE) via the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) and is solely based on students’ performance in the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations.
