Oct 16, 2009 · I've been listening to A LOT of his stuff over the past few months. "Prelude" and "Deodato II" sound absolutely-beautiful - but you have to turn your stereo WAY-up - I have to turn mine up halfway (But now I truly get why those super-low-volume mid '80's disc are so great).
Deodato 2 is a 1973 album by Brazilian keyboardist Eumir Deodato. It features noted session guitarist John Tropea on 4 tracks and virtuoso bassist Stanley Clarke on one song, "Skyscrapers". His version of George Gershwin 's " Rhapsody in Blue " was used in Pontiac commercials during the early-1970s.

Prelude is the eighth studio album by Brazilian keyboardist Eumir Deodato, released in 1973. [1][7] With the signature track "Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001)" (an arrangement of the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey), Prelude also features one of the most heavily sampled drum breaks in the early hip hop cannon.
