Stratford High School has a proud history of providing quality secondary education to Stratford and the surrounding area since 1897. We are committed to providing an environment that is warm, inclusive and that offers the educational opportunities for every student to be the best they can be.
Stratford High School operates a 10 day timetable. There are 5 one-hour periods per day. Each Wednesday period 1 is a Utility period. This is used for Assembly and House activities.

Roodbeen Trophy for Best All-round Senior Student – This prestigious award is open to Year 12 and 13 students, recognizing the outstanding all-round senior student who demonstrates exceptional dedication and commitment to the overall life of Stratford High School.

The PTA hold a second hand uniform sale in January each year. Clean and tidy uniform items for sale can be dropped off to the student office for sale at anytime. Stratford High School Uniform Guide. Term 1: Mon 29th Jan – Fri 12th Apr.
The scholarship is available to assist a rural student from a rural contributing school to attend Stratford High School. Up to three scholarships may be awarded each year with a maximum value of $400.
Stratford High School offers a dynamic and engaging modular curriculum in Years 9 and 10, which has been designed with our learners at the heart of our programmes and is based on the New Zealand Curriculum.
