This question seems relatively easy to answer, it's just a case of stereotypes, how they conform and go against the Representations of typical teenagers. Think of wider news stories, teenagers in the papers are typically represented through things such as binge drinking ...
Inbetweeners suffers, more than anything else, from being so overhyped. It's a sitcom in the truest nature of the word - the humour is all in the situations. The characters aren't that realistic, and Jay is incredibly annoying and unfunny, but it is well-enough put together to hold my interest.
