  2. Feb 13, 2018 · Over the last year it had developed the infamous 3 amigos. But they didn't all light at once. When you started up ABS and TC remained lit. Then upon using the brakes for the first time after starting, there was little to no braking power. It felt like the brakes were grinding.

  3. Dec 19, 2020 · Posted December 19, 2020. Hi Dave. I suspect you have 2 different issues. If you "Google" the three amigos you'll get loads of info on your warning lights. 9. Dec 16, 2013 · Location:Maidstone UK. Posted December 16, 2013. I have a 04 V6 Auto freelander that Ive only covered 40 k since new. I had the 3 amigos during the summer- that was an easy fix as it was the brake switch- obvious as the switch was arced up and dirty- plus, you can hear the relay operate when its functioning ok as theres a definite clunk down ...

  10. Feb 14, 2017 · This lack of use causes the shuttle valve to stick, try resetting the ABS then go and find some grass/mud/gravel and do a few emergency stops. This cured the recurring “three amigos” on our Defender XS. Obviously check for other faults first, like wheel sensors. And try to use the ABS every so often.
