Jun 14, 2024 · I've seen Yoko's name pop up a lot on Spotify despite her having nothing to do with the tracks, sucks that she gets so much spam... Hope they take it down assuming this is the case, the tracks are nothing like the originals lol. Title. The tracks are really anime like and quite different than the game tracks OSTs.
Aug 4, 2018 · I believe even Yoko herself said LoM soundtrack was her magnum opus. EDIT: Not 100% sure still accurate, statement was made in 2002 when she did Kingdom Hearts, which she also says was her "most special" soundtrack. Nevertheless, still is pretty high in her list.

A lot of the older games' OSTs were almost all MIDI tracks, which meant they were simpler and had an easily identifiable melody. Yoko's work for FFXV (the orchestral pieces at least) has so many layers, like you said. And her simpler piano pieces are just as beautiful. 3.
