What becomes clear is that she was just a shitty person who made very poor decisions. She doesn't really spare herself in the book, but I found myself cheering for her downfall ...

Other than that, every so-called forgotten actor I can think of turns out to be in some show I’ve never heard of, now in its ninth season. Seems like there’s work for everybody, somewhere. Nobody ever really slips into complete obscurity anymore.

Julianne Phillips was the ex wife of Bruce Springsteen, and had just spent 5 seasons on Sisters before she made that movie with Harry Hamlin in 1997. I wouldn’t call her “budding”, but yes, she quit acting and left Hollywood after that movie. I’d bet she was more scared of Rinna than Hamlin.
