Nov 6, 2012 · I had a situation where I had to keep the original font (chosen by someone else) and not change/install the font - but still needed to work on with the file. The pink background annoyed me enough to find a way to get rid of it. You can hide the pink background by deselecting Preferences > Type > Highlight Substituted Fonts.

The images are color but primarily feature b/w text - when combined into a PDF, they have a pink hue. Since these are for archival, they need to be exact copies of the original. Attached are the 1st page + image as well as a screenshot of the files in the folder - notice the visual difference from JPG to PDF.
Oct 24, 2021 · Hi @MohGouigah: That particular document uses Roboto Regular and Roboto Bold. As stated earlier, missing fonts are highlighted with a pink background. You can activate the fonts when you open the file: Or, in your case, since the file is already open, choose Type > Find/Replace Font and click the Activate button.

Jul 5, 2024 · When you have a pink highlight on the text that means the font is missing and ahould be insalled or replaced, to get the name of the font, go to type menu-> resolve missing fonts

If you prefer to use the menu to a keyboard shortcut, you can turn it off by going to Select > Edit in Quick Mask Mode. You'll also see that it was toggled on when there's a checkmark next to it in the menu.
Mar 27, 2019 · The capture is the data being sent to the video card, not what is actually shown on the monitor. The screen shot could be perfectly normal while what the monitor shows is way out of whack because the video card is failing, or the monitor is failing. Best to take a picture with a camera or smart phone etc. The dismal pink background is infesting ...
