Jun 26, 2019 · One of the best parks to visit in the Phoenix metro area, Pagago Park is also one of the most scenic and easily accessible desert areas in the greater Phoenix area. It is located in the heart of the city, where Tempe, Scottsdale and Phoenix meet, making it extremely accessible from all parts of the metro area.
Explore its 1,500 acres filled with hiking and biking trails, picnic areas and lagoons. Papago Park is also home to attractions including the “Hole in the Rock” hike, Desert Botanical Garden, the Phoenix Zoo and AZ Heritage Center at Papago Park.
Mar 8, 2020 · Bridging both Phoenix and Tempe, Papago Park is one of my favorite spots to add. It’s a little piece of the Sonoran Desert just a few minutes from downtown, making it one of the best ways to enjoy the southwestern environment without having to carve out a major commitment.

Description: The Papago Park Fitness Trail is an enjoyable multi-use crushed granite trail that navigates the western portion of Papago Park. The trail starts and ends at the parking lot on the west side of Galvin Parkway opposite the Phoenix Zoo entrance.
Stunning red rocks and no crowds. Papago Park offers several easy and moderate hikes, which are clearly signposted and not difficult to follow. You really cannot get lost there even if you want to. The park is a short walk from the Hole in the Rock and Phoenix Zoo parking lot.
