Located at Buangkok Green Medical Park, th e Institute of Mental Health (IMH) is an acute tertiary psychiatric hospital with 1950 beds. We offer a comprehensive range of psychiatric, rehabilitative and counselling services for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
Appointments & Referrals. Consultation at our Specialist Outpatient Clinics is by appointment only. For first-visit appointments: You may wish to visit a General Practitioner (GP) clinic or polyclinic for an initial assessment.
The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) is a 2,000-bed acute tertiary psychiatric hospital situated on a 25-hectare campus at Buangkok Green Medical Park.
Making Your Stay Comfortable. Extra sets of clothes and toiletries (chargeable) will be provided. Personal belongings (such as cell phones and laptops) should be left at home. If you wish to bring them along, these items will be kept in a safe by our nurses for the duration of your stay.
Visitor Policy. For the well-being of our patients, a maximum of one accompanying person per patient at Emergency Services and two visitors per inpatient at any one time are allowed.
IMH provides the following specialised outpatient psychiatric care and rehabilitation services to adults living with mental illness. IMH is the only tertiary hospital in Singapore that specialises in psychiatry. It has over 50 wards and 2010 beds for inpatients and seven specialist clinics for outpatients. Apart from its hospital-based services, IMH runs satellite clinics at different locations in Singapore and executes community mental healthcare programmes.
Emergency Attendence Fee. S$135. The above rates are only for Singapore citizens. Actual charges may vary, depending on a patient’s subsidy level. Rates differ for Permanent Residents, Resident Foreigners and Non-Residents. Please check with the counter staff prior to admission / consultation. .
