St Leonards-on-Sea (commonly known as St Leonards) is a town and seaside resort in the Borough of Hastings in East Sussex, England. It has been part of the borough since the late 19th century and lies to the west of central Hastings.
Jul 7, 2022 · Originally laid out as a purpose-built resort by renowned architect James Burton in the 19th century, St Leonards-on-Sea was cemented as a jewel in the British coastal crown when Princess Victoria and her mother, the Duchess of Kent, stayed here during the winter of 1834.
