In 1962 he founded his own production company, P.E.A., [2] and released his first feature film, The Shadow of Zorro the following year and his first Spaghetti Western I due violenti (1964).

Grimaldi’s son, Maurizio Grimaldi, confirmed his death to Variety, adding that his father died of natural causes.
