Billy Two Rivers (Mohawk name Kaientaronkwen, [3] May 5, 1935 – February 12, 2023) was a Canadian Mohawk professional wrestler, actor, and a leader of the Mohawks of Kahnawà:ke. He began wrestling professionally in 1953 and retired in 1977, having worked in the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Canada.

Feb 13, 2023 · MONTREAL — Billy Two Rivers, a retired Mohawk wrestler, politician and activist, has died at 87. The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake announced his death in a statement published today. Two Rivers rose to fame as a wrestler in the 1950s, and spent nearly a quarter of a century in the ring before he turned to politics.
After tuning into the late local news the anchorwoman announced the passing of Billy Two Rivers at age 87. Two Rivers lived a long and productive life and as was pointed out, he fought in the ring for show and outside of the ring to preserve and pass on his rich Mohawk heritage.
