Bye Bye Blackbird. Josef, a former construction worker, works as a sweeper at a circus and falls in love with the aerialist, Alice. He decides to attempt an ariel display on the trapeze, defying death and gravity. When he is spotted by the owner he is paired with Alice in a dangerous new act for the circus.
