For now the Sword of Descension is firmly glued to my Traveler. The effect is quite strong and a additional 66 Atk is nothing to scoff at. You can craft yourself two different 4 Star Weapons for each weapon type if you have one of the "Prototype" items from the Souvenirs Stores. Honestly the Prototype 4 star sword is quite good.
Apr 17, 2021 · It's a worse version of the flute that's better early game (only on the traveler.) Sword of Descension is pretty bad late game. Only 440 base attack at lvl 90 and the extra 66 attack it gives Traveler doesn't count as base attack. Weapons like Flute and Prototype Rancour are simply going to outscale it hard.

Oct 17, 2020 · TDLR: Sword of Descension Usefulness. Guides & Tips. Essentially, the PS4 Sword is comparable to a fully refined Prototype Rancour that is given for free. However, this is only true if the sword is wielded by the Traveler. Maxed Rancour is more consistent and has slightly higher damage in the long run, but the difference is negligible.
