Jan 19, 2007 · Overview. The film revolves around Claire, a kind soul who resents having to enforce the law at all times, and Jay, an angry Traffic Officer who loves his job, being the perfect outlet for his anger and frustrations.
Synopsis. Claire Barney (Samantha Morton) is a mild-mannered police parking attendant who lives in a small house with her invalid mother (Teri Garr) who is recovering from a recent stroke. She patrols the L.A. streets and stumbles into an old boyfriend, who introduces Claire to his wife and ill-behaved daughter.
Jay Caswell (Jason Patric) and Claire Barney (Samantha Morton) are both Los Angeles parking enforcement officers, but they have very different temperaments.
