Nov 7, 2019 · The first edition of Francesco Milizia’s Le vite de’ più celebri architetti d’ogni nazione e d’ogni tempo, known in English as The Lives of the Celebrated Architects, Ancient and Modern, was published in Rome by Paolo Giunchi in 1768.
Francesco Milizia was born at Oria in the province of Otranto, a part of the Kingdom of Naples, in 1725. His parents were noble and in comfortable circumstances. At the age of nine he was placed in charge of an uncle, his mother's brother, who was a physician in Padua, but at sixteen he ran away to Rome where he joined his father.
The two theatres have never been measured and they represent a case study to evaluate the reliability of the numerical simulations of 18th century Italian Theatres. Impulse responses with di erent source-receiver combinations have been acquired, and monaural descriptors have been calculated.
