Forgotten. When the movie ends, a handful of protagonists might know of him, but mostly the kids in Springwood are telling stories about Jason.

At the end of Jason 9, a Freddy kreuger glove pulls Jason's mask underground in the last scene. So I guess it would be to Friday the 13th at least. In Jason Goes To Hell, the Necronomicon (Book of the Dead) from the Evil Dead series is used as a plot point. However, in the original Elm Street film, Nancy is clearly watching the Evil Dead on TV.

He's convinced that his own sins are much more depraved than Freddy's, and would easily compel the dream demons to grant him equal or greater power. Even as Charles Lee Ray his sins had him beat, let alone adding all the shit "Chucky" has done since.
Nov 20, 2022 · If you want to not dive into a detail description easy answer would be it was a draw, but how much of it was actually Freddy vs Jason? 20 mins? 2.5 scenes? I think the VS was more of a marketing ploy and less about the two actually duking it out Thrilla in Manila style.
Ideally, Freddy vs Jason would have been at its best when the rumblings about it began in the late 80s and certainly shortly after the Jason Goes to Hell ending. It would have had a different vibe, one truer to the spirit of both original franchises and probably less goofiness that the cgi effects afforded (like the pinball bouncing).

The Pinhead ending for FVJ was unused for several reasons, mainly since New Line didn't own the rights to Hellraiser or Pinhead, and likely didn't want to pay licensing fees to use him. Also at that point, Hellraiser unfortunately ceased being theatrical and New Line ...
The Freddy movies are actually more important to watch than the Friday the 13th movies, not for continuity but to get familiar with Freddy and the rules and because some of those movies are actually great. I would recommend watching at least the first 3 and then Freddy vs. Jason but you don't really need the to understand it.
Nov 12, 2021 · Both have their strengths when the focus is on the monsters themselves but for sheer entertainment Freddy vs Jason edges out. Freddy vs. Jason. Boasts a few okay supporting killers, a better tone, and is generally a bit more fun in this case. The leads suck, but so does the AVP final girl; that one isn’t awful just….
