CHILD were originally formed in the 1970's by frontman and vocalist Graham Bilbrough. The band enjoyed chart success in 1978/79/80 with 3 hit singles including a top 10 and 2 hit albums. Child were voted the 2nd most popular band in 1978 by FAB 208 magazine readers.

Apr 20, 2023 · With a collective love of Creedence, Slade and Be-Bop Deluxe, the band consisted of the twin Atack brothers, Tim and Emily’s dad Keith (on drums and bass respectively), Graham Bilbrough on vocals and elder statesman, Dave Cooper, on guitar. “Dave went to the same school as the Atacks,” says Bilbrough.
Their biggest hit came with a cover of the Conway Twitty song It’s Only Make Believe, which gave them a top ten hit in 1978. The same year, Child was voted the second most popular UK band amongst teenage girls in a 1978 poll conducted by the magazine Fab 208.
