Oct 25, 2005 · Grandmasters is a collaborative studio album by American Los Angeles-based record producer DJ Muggs and New York-based rapper GZA. It was released on October 25, 2005 via Angeles Records, serving as Muggs’ first in his “DJ Muggs vs.” series and GZA’s fifth album.
Exploitation of Mistakes and Advance Pawns are both classic GZA stuff, and RZA's appearance on the latter is just insanely good. But overall nothing really meshes the way it should here, and GZA's delivery feels out of place and unnatural compared to what he's capable of.
